It is a good thing when you run a company to organize a fete for workers once in a while so that they will be able to socialize better. When they meet after work in more friendly atmosphere they are able to create bonds between them, make friends, etc. In work it is usually impossible due to many stressful situations. People get nervous when they are working and such atmosphere doesn´t help in establishing any relationships. Sometimes it is also a good idea to organize such event for clients as well. If you invite your clients on such celebration, this would increase the trust they have in you and your products. Recently a driving school located in my neighbor city organized something special for their students. It was a weekend with driving theory test. During this weekend everyone who is participating in a driving course is able to learn something new about the test itself and also meet new people who are going to take it as well. Such fete is a very good idea and it might also help some people to pass the driving theory test with positive result. They might talk with others about issues that are problematic for them.
